The 2013 QS World University Rankings by Subject published today ranked the Université de Montréal among the best universities in the world in 29 different disciplines. A dozen of these disciplines are ranked in the top 100, including medicine, pharmacy, geography and political science. In other disciplines including communications, chemistry and physics, UdeM has made significant gains.
“The Université de Montréal is a world-class university where all branches of knowledge are taught and researched,” said university rector, Guy Breton. “A common theme across all our faculties is the pursuit of excellence. I'm very proud that we continue to be ranked among the best in the world in all major disciplines. This tremendous achievement is a tribute to the commitment and determination of all the members of our community and I sincerely thank them for it.”
