Still among the best

Université de Montréal and its affiliated schools, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal, placed 141th among the world's top universities in the latest QS World University Rankings. QS evaluated 2,963 universities worldwide and included 1,503 in the 2024 edition of its list.

The rankings are based on nine criteria: most importantly, academic reputation, employer reputation and citations per faculty. This year, QS added a sustainability metric, on which UdeM performed particularly well, ranking 50th. UdeM continues to enjoy an excellent academic reputation at 136th in the world.
