Le groupe du professeur Alexis Vallée-Bélisle, du Département de chimie de l’UdeM, a découvert comment programmer les molécules du vivant pour qu’elles s’activent à divers moments, agissant comme des minuteurs moléculaires. L'image illustre que le temps, à l’échelle moléculaire, peut être programmé par le biais même des biomolécules qui composent le vivant. Elle met l’accent sur l’ADN, la biomolécule qui a permis au groupe de recherche d’étudier les mécanismes biochimiques qui régulent le temps.
